K-4 students encouraged to try wrestling

Posted October 17, 2022

Students are invited to participate in Plymouth Area Wrestling, which provides an opportunity for those in kindergarten through fourth grade to learn and love the sport of wrestling.

The program is run by Andrew Crivellone, head coach of the Plymouth High School and Riverview Middle School wrestling teams.

An informational meeting for students and parents/guardians will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 25 in the PHS Cafeteria, 125 S. Highland Ave.

Practices will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. two days a week from Dec. 12 through Feb. 2 (see MyRec for detailed schedule) in the PHS Wrestling Room.

Fee is $30. Registration is handled by Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation, via the MyRec online registration system, but proceeds benefit PHS Wrestling. (Parents/guardians will need to create a MyRec account, if they do not already have one, and wait for it to be approved before they can register.)
