Homecoming 2026

Plymouth High School alumni, Plymouth School District families, and other community members are encouraged to enjoy 2026 Homecoming activities, especially the parade, brat fry, and football game on Friday Oct. 2!

Sunday Sept. 27

• PHS Homecoming Boys Volleyball Tournament, 3pm in the PHS Gym
• PHS Homecoming Girls Powderpuff Football, 5:30pm in the PHS Multi-Purpose Facility

Dress-up days, Sept. 28-Oct. 2

• Monday: Grade Level Color Day (4K red, 5K orange, 1st yellow, 2nd green, 3rd blue, 4th purple; 5th red, 6th green, 7th blue, 8th yellow; 9th yellow, 10th green, 11th blue, 12th pink, staff purple or black)
• Tuesday: Carnival Craze (shiny, bright, feathers, sparkles, etc.)
• Wednesday: Crazy Hair
• Thursday: Jersey Day
• Friday: Panther Pride

PHS daily activities, Sept. 28-Oct. 2

• Tug-of-war competition during Panther Time
• Minute-to-Win Games during lunch

Change War & Penny War, Sept. 28-Oct. 2

The Plymouth Education Foundation is sponsoring a pair of fundraisers to benefit its Teacher Wishlist Fund:

• Elementary Change War: Coins will be collected in the school offices. The grade that collects the most money will win a treat.
• Riverview Penny War: Coins will be collected in the office. A penny is worth 1 point, but other classes can deposit silver coins and paper money to deduct points (e.g. a nickel is minus 5 points, a dollar minus 100 points, etc.). The winning grade will receive a treat.

Friday Oct. 2

PHS Homecoming Assembly

1-2:40pm Friday Oct. 2 beginning in the PHS Auditorium and ending in the PHS Gym
-Induction of Dan Salzwedel of the Class of 1965 and Lee Gentine of the Class of 1970 into the PHS Alumni Hall of Fame
-Introduction of Homecoming Representatives, Court, and King & Queen
-Pep rally

Parade

Beginning at 4:15pm, the route starts at East Main and Caroline streets, heads south to Mill Street, east on Mill to North Street, then north back to Main.

School and community groups are invited to enter the parade, which has a theme of “Carnival: A Night in Rio.”

Any PHS team, club, or other group as well as alumni, local organizations, and businesses may enter the parade. Entries can include vehicles, floats, and/or walkers.

There is no entry fee, but the 2026 PHS Homecoming Parade Entry Form is due by 9 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 30. Those without access to the internet can visit the Community Ed & Rec office (PHS Door 18) for assistance between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.

Parade information and expectations

• Participants can line up on Main Street on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 3:15 p.m.; make three rows. The first block of Main Street between Caroline and Smith streets is reserved for VIP vehicles (i.e. those transporting the parade marshal, Hall of Fame inductees, Homecoming Court, etc.); be sure to leave room for fire trucks to exit.
• The route will head south on Caroline Street to Mill Street, east on Mill to North Street, then north back to Main.
• Vehicles and floats must be able to move at a rate of at least 5 mph. Please do not leave big gaps in the parade.
• You may hand candy and other items to people along the parade route, but nothing is to be thrown from any vehicle or float; Plymouth Police may cite violators.
• Please clean up after yourself in the staging area before and after the parade. All horse entries must clean up after themselves immediately and will not be allowed to begin the parade without a support person equipped to do so.
• Any entry implying discrimination or promoting the use of alcohol, profanity, vulgarity, or sexually explicit material will be removed from the parade.
