Students benefit from winter school visitors

A big thank-you to the dozens of community members who shared their time and expertise with Plymouth School District students this winter! 

Plymouth High School

  • Don Fussner, CEO of Johnsonville, and Alex Castillo, Chief People Officer at Johnsonville, spoke to FBLA members Dec.  18.
  • Sue Feick made lefse with the Advanced Culinary Arts class.
  • Vietnam veteran Kevin Capelle will speak to PHS History students March 20.

Elementary schools

  • PHS Team Panther members visited elementary students Dec. 18-22 for a variety of activities, including reading stories, making crafts, and playing outside in the snow.
  • PHS German Band performed at Horizon on Dec. 22.
  • PHS FFA members brought Ag in the Classroom to first-graders Feb. 12.
  • Riverview Band Director Mike Fedyszyn visited Parkview 3rd-grade music classes.
  • Janis of Bullard Dental visited Fairview.
  • Fairview hosted Grandparents Day on March 3, with activities and snacks in the cafeteria, student-led classroom tours, and a bookfair with reading in the gym. Volunteers from Generations were on hand for those whose grandparents couldn’t attend.
  • Patty and Tim Talen helped Horizon fourth-graders present a March Forth performance featuring Wisconsin facts on March 4.
