Panther 'Fits Student Sharing Closet

This initiative provides free items to help students succeed, thanks in large part to the generosity of our community!

About Panther 'Fits

The Panther 'Fits Student Sharing & Career Closet opened in November 2023 to provide Plymouth High School students with clothing and other essentials to help them find jobs and feel a sense of belonging.

The Panther ’Fits Closet – actually Room B220 adjacent to the school library – offers free clothes, shoes, coats, personal hygiene items, school supplies, and other needed items. It is open to all students during the school day; staff also can admit students outside those hours for private shopping.

Students also are able to request specific items via an online form, which is now available to all district families beginning with the 2025-26 school year.

The initiative is spearheaded by PHS teachers Megan Hummitzsch and Tracy Heinbuch, secretaries Grace Wascher and Denall Moore, and retired teacher Kay Tharp. Their efforts earned the 2024 Community Impact Award from the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.

How to get help

If you have a specific need, please feel free to ask for assistance via our confidential Student & Family Assistance Request Form. We will try to fulfill your requests as supplies allow. Your information will be kept confidential and will only be used so we can get the requested item(s) to you.

Community members can make donations. Clothing can be new or gently used. We do not accept undergarments, stained clothing or non-functioning items (broken zippers, buttons missing, etc.). Please bring donations to the PHS Office (Door 1G) 7am-3pm weekdays.
