Free child developmental screenings available

Posted February 16, 2026

Free developmental screenings are being offered soon for area children ages 6 months through 4 years, thanks to a community partnership.

Screenings will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday March 5 and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday March 6 at Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive. Screenings are free, but pre-registration is required by Monday March 2.

Screenings take about an hour and cover communication, problem solving, personal and social skills, and fine and large motor skills. (Hearing and vision screening also may be available; call 920-892-6706 for more information.) Extensive information on parenting and community resources will be available.

The benefits of screening young children include:

  • Celebrating their growth and learning
  • Getting advice and tools to support future success
  • Identifying and addressing potential concerns

Screenings are coordinated by the Sheboygan County Community Partnership for Children with support from Plymouth School District, Family Resource Center, and Birth to 3.
