PHS Dance Team earns dozens of awards

The Plymouth High School Dance Team is wrapping up a great year, garnering a total of 27 awards this season!

State & Regional awards

The JV team was State Runner-Up in Hip Hop at the Junior, Elementary & Middle School State Championships held Jan. 31. The team also took 7th in Pom at the event, which is sponsored by the Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches.

The Varsity team advanced to the WACPC State Dance Championships held Feb. 6-7 after winning the D2 Hip Hop Northern Regional for the 2nd year in a row and taking 4th in D4 Pom. In addition, D4 soloists Alison Kilcoyne and Gabby Lefeber also qualified for State.

  • JV Pom: 1st place
  • Varsity Pom: 2nd place

Kiel Competition on Dec. 20

  • Varsity D2 Hip Hop: 1st place (highest scoring routine)
  • Varsity D4 Pom: 1st place
  • JV Hip Hop: 1st place
  • Alison Kilcoyne: 1st place for grade 11/12 solo
  • JV Pom: 2nd place
  • Sophie Kramer: 2nd place for grade 9/10 solo
  • Gabby Lefeber: 3rd place for grade 9/10 solo

Little Chute Dance Invite on Dec. 13

  • Varsity Hip Hop: 1st place
  • JV Hip Hop: 1st place
  • JV Pom: 3rd place
  • Alison Kilcoyne: 3rd place for solo
  • Varsity Pom: 4th place
  • Sophie Kramer: 6th place for solo

Freedom Dance Classic on Jan 10

  • Varsity Hip Hop: Special Judge's Award for Best Choreography
  • Varsity Hip Hop: 1st place
  • JV Hip Hop: 1st place
  • JV Pom: 2nd place
  • Varsity Pom: 4th place
  • Sophie Kramer: 4th place for varsity D4 solo
