Schools collecting cereal boxes to topple & donate

Posted February 16, 2026

Everyone is invited to join area schools in donating cereal for the 4th annual Plymouth School District Cereal Box Domino Challenge!

All five public schools plus St. John the Baptist and St. John Lutheran schools are participating. Boxes of unopened, non-expired cereal or oatmeal can be brought to any school office through Monday March 9.

Community members can bring donations to the Community Ed & Rec Office between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. weekdays (enter Door 18 on the south end of PHS) or put them in the collection box outside the Fitness Center at other times.

Schools can conduct their own topples by March 13. The school with the most donations will win a traveling trophy and host a topple of all donated boxes the week of March 23, which will be livestreamed.

Past events have collected 800 to 1,000+ boxes of cereal for the Plymouth Food Pantry, and organizers have set a goal of 1,000 boxes this year.

The effort is being spearheaded by the Plymouth School District gifted & talented program along with Plymouth High School National Honor Society and Team Panther.
