Schools embrace giving spirit
Posted December 22, 2025
Plymouth School District schools, staff, students, and families have been helping others throughout this holiday season. Here are some examples of their caring and generosity!
Plymouth High School
- National Honor Society partnered with FFA on the annual Holiday Food Drive from Dec. 8 to 16, collecting $1,400 and 1,700 food items for the Plymouth Food Pantry. Some of the donations were collected during the Battle of Highway 23 Basketball Tournament on Dec. 13.
- Peers for Peers, led by student Hailey Hamer, collected and donated more than 125 new and gently used blankets, including some provided by First Lady and Gov. Evers. The Blankets with Love blanket drive benefits patrons of the St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift store and the Plymouth Food Pantry.
- Plymouth FFA made tie blankets for Ronald McDonald House, and handed out hot chocolate during Plymouth’s Charming Downtown Christmas.
- Youth Service class members prepared and delivered a meal for the Salvation Army.
Other schools
- Riverview collected 75 crates/boxes of food for the Plymouth Food Pantry during its annual food drive, held Nov. 17-Dec. 4.
- Horizon families and staff donated 685 stuffed animals in a Snuggle Squad Drive held Nov. 3-21, which will bring much-needed comfort to children visiting the Aurora Sheboygan Emergency Room.
- Horizon collected 536 items for the Plymouth Food Pantry during its Food Drive held Nov. 3-25.
- Riverview staff and Christian Life Church provided presents and gift cards for the Riverview Giving Tree, which benefits students and their families.
- Parkview Berry Branch and Extra Mile students in grades 4K-4 chose to make about 50 cards for our local doctors and nurses as their annual Giving Thanks Project.
- Riverview students in Mrs Rau's homeroom made blankets for the PHS Blankets of Love drive.
