Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a wide variety of group fitness classes and recreation activities this winter!
Group fitness classes
Fitness Launch
Join us for this FREE opportunity to sample fitness classes, try the latest Les Mills BodyPump release with new music & choreography, and meet class instructors. Bring a friend!
Details: Saturday Jan 3 at Plymouth High School

30-Minute Essential Fitness
Experience a dynamic blend of strength and conditioning designed to elevate your fitness level, whether you're just starting out or an advanced athlete. In 30 minutes, we combine bodyweight exercises with diverse accessory equipment to tone your muscles, boost your metabolism, and enhance calorie burn throughout the day. This full-body workout leaves you feeling stronger and more energized!

Core Conditioning
This 30-minute Pilates-inspired class will take you through core-strengthening exercises to enhance overall flexibility. Get strength training for your core, with varying abdominal and low-back exercises.

Cycle & Core
Enjoy an endless variety of intervals of high cardio bouts on the bike and core strength exercises off the bike to improve strength and endurance.

Empower: Women's Weightlifting
Join an empowering journey into strength training designed specifically for women. Whether you’re new to lifting or looking to refine your technique, this class offers a small group and a supportive environment to build confidence and strength. Learn to use fixed-range-of-motion machines, cable machines, squat racks, and free weights. Embrace the benefits of weightlifting – improved metabolism, increased bone density, and enhanced muscle tone – while fostering a sense of community with like-minded women.

SHiNE
This dance fitness workout utilizes current hit music and choreography to help participants feel confident and strong. High-cardio exercise combines jazz, ballet, and hip hop moves with calisthenics in a HIIT format for a full-body workout. Come dance with us!

Total Body Training
Increase heart rate with low- to medium-impact intervals using weights, bosu balls, resistance bands, and stability balls, while strengthening the muscles of the core.

Gentle Yoga
This class focuses on calming the mind and body. Slowly and mindfully move through poses, emphasizing breath and alignment, while building core muscle and relieving stress. Appropriate for all levels.

Vinyasa Yoga

Sunrise Yoga

Yoga Nidra
A guided meditation practice that takes you into a state between wakefulness and sleep.Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down, allowing the body to fully relax while the mind remains conscious and aware.

Daytime Deep
Held with Daytime Aqua; you can follow that workout, do your own, or swim laps.

Deep Water
This motivational class uses water resistance for a great workout. You must be comfortable in deep water. You can use noodles or cuffs.

Water Walking
This self-paced, self-directed class in shallow water is perfect for those with limited mobility. Just walk at your own pace! Held at the same time as Deep Water, so help is nearby.

Get regular exercise swimming laps in the Plymouth High School Pool!

Open Play Pickleball

Intermediate Pickleball Instruction & Play - NEW
This intermediate pickleball class will sharpen technique through focused drills on shot placement, footwork, and strategic gameplay. Players will build confidence by applying these skills in guided rallies and point-based scenarios designed to elevate overall performance.

Open Golf
Bring your own clubs & balls and practice your golf skills indoors. Putting greens are also available.
Details: 8-11am Sat Feb 7-28 in the PHS Multipurpose Facility
Fee: $11 per person per hour; register by 4pm Friday
Notes: No metal spikes. Some balls are available, but if you have some please bring them.
*Senior rate is available to Plymouth School District residents ages 62 and above.
How do I register?
- Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fee and offers immediate confirmation. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)
- In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays (though closed Dec. 24-Jan. 2 during Winter Break).
- By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
