Fall field trips expand student learning

Plymouth School District students enjoyed many field trips this fall!

A big thank-you to our families, parent organizations, and other donors who help make these outings possible!

Plymouth High School

  • German visitors toured the Plymouth Historical Society Museum on Sept. 18.
  • Facilitated Language Studies class sat in on language classes at UW-Milwaukee and attended an international career fair Oct. 1.
  • Science students attended a Hands-On Healthcare event Oct. 20 at Bellin. 
  • Culinary arts students participated in a Farm-Factory-Fork Career Discovery on Oct. 28.
  • PHS Production Animal class visited Mauk E Way Farm on Oct. 28.
  • Plymouth FFA members attended the National FFA Convention on Oct. 29-31 in Indianapolis.
  • Tech Club members participated in an event Oct. 29 at the Madison International Speedway.
  • Ag Careers & Leadership class visited Masters Gallery Foods on Nov. 10, where they learned about career options and toured the packaging process.
  • FBLA members attended the Wisconsin FBLA Fall Leadership Conference on Nov. 10-11 in Wisconsin Dells.
  • Plymouth FFA officers attended the Fall Leadership Conference on Nov. 14-16 in Wisconsin Dells.
  • Drama students attended the Wisconsin Interscholastic Theatre Festival on Nov. 17 at UW-Stevens Point.
  • Marching Band went to Walt Disney World on Nov. 21-16.
  • Ag Careers & Leadership class toured Kettle Moraine Vet Clinic on Nov. 24 and talked with Dr. Destiny Glasson and vet tech Courtney. During the tour, students saw exam rooms, treatment room, surgery areas, and x-ray room.

Riverview Middle School

  • 5th-graders attended Steamfest at Lakeland University.
  • 6th-graders visited Camp Anokijig in October, where they learned about different kinds of energy and rotated through three stations to learn about wind, solar, and hydro energies.

Elementary schools

  • Parkview 4th-graders visited Madison on Oct. 1 to tour the Capitol and the Madison Zoo.
  • Pegasus students attended CESA 7's Mystery Writing Retreat on Oct. 14 at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, where they participated in workshops about cold cases, collecting evidence, and the elements of writing a mystery story. They also rode a train and spent time writing a mystery.
  • Horizon 4th-graders attended Steamfest in October.
