Riverview to present ‘Elf Jr.’ musical

Posted December 2, 2025

Riverview Middle School will present “Elf Jr.” as its annual musical Dec. 12-14, featuring students in the seventh and eighth grades.

The 75-minute show is appropriate for all ages. Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Riverview performances of “Elf Jr.” will begin at 7 p.m. Friday Dec. 12 and Saturday Dec. 13, with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 13 and Sunday Dec. 14 in the Riverview Auditorium, 300 Riverside Circle. Tickets cost $7 and are available online via On the Stage, in the school office, and at the door.
