Faculty & staff earn degrees, certificates

The Plymouth School District applauds faculty and staff members who continue their educations!

District elementary reading teachers recently completed an intensive training called Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS), to enhance their reading and writing instruction.

Each person completed approximately 96 hours of training, including readings in the training manuals, online videos and quizzes, and “Bridge to Practice” exercises to implement what was learned.

Plymouth reading teachers earning LETRS certificates:

  • Karen Bennett from Fairview
  • Jennifer Borth from Parkview
  • Amy Kolpin from Parkview
  • Megan Quade from Horizon
  • Stacey Ross from Fairview

Other staff earning degrees, certifications, and professional licenses this school year include:

  • Charlotte Anderson, Plymouth High School social studies teacher: master’s degree in education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction from Capella University
  • Allison Schwartz, Plymouth High School English teacher: master’s degree in educational leadership from UW-Green Bay
  • Brad Smudde, Plymouth High School social studies teacher: master’s degree in educational leadership from UW-Green Bay
