Sneak peek at Community Ed & Rec summer offerings

Posted May 22, 2023

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation will offer a variety of classes for all ages this summer, including three new opportunities!

Registration will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 31, but you can get a sneak peek now at the Summer 2023 Course Guide. Printed copies will be available beginning Tuesday May 30 in our office and at locations throughout the community; call or email us with your address if you'd like us to mail you a copy.

Online registration is preferred, via MyRec. If you have not already done so, please create a MyRec account now, so that you will be ready when registration opens. (We have to check residency and approve each account individually, so there will be a delay in your ability to register the morning of May 31 if you do not already have an account.)

You also can print a registration form to mail or bring to our office now with cash or check payment, which will be processed in the order received as soon as possible once registration opens May 31. In addition, you can register in our office after 10 a.m. that day; we accept cash, check, and credit cards in the office.

What’s new for Summer 2023?

  • Outdoor Bootcamp: This class will combine a series of bodyweight exercises with high- and low-intensity intervals and movements. Have fun while you sweat through individual and team competitions!
  • Functional Fitness: This training offers something to benefit everyone. Rather than working one muscle group at a time, you will train several muscles simultaneously, making you stronger for daily activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and squatting.
  • FUNctional Kids Fitness: This fun opportunity lets kids to move their bodies and burn energy in ways that can be hard to achieve at home. Participants will complete obstacle courses, work on balance activities, run races, and so much more! Activities are geared toward ages 3-6, but parents and younger and/or older siblings are welcome to participate.
