Plymouth FFA wins 3 state CDE titles

Three Plymouth FFA teams won their state Career Development Events and will be representing Wisconsin in national competition this fall!

Wisconsin state winners

  • Horse Evaluation: 1st of 25 teams; members are Danielle Conto (2nd individually), Hollee Kaiser (3rd), Cady Ninnemann (18th), Lauren Wagner (35th), and coach Cheryl Unke.
  • Ag Mechanics: 1st of 25 teams; members are Jake Bins (15th individually), Jake Miller (20th), Brandon Schultz (26th), Joseph Mugan (30th), and coach Alex Phipps.
  • Nursery & Landscape: 1st of 9 teams; members are Trevor Marquardt (3rd individually), Cole Anderson (5th), Austin Lau (10th), Jessy Printzlaff (11th), and coach Katelynn Sibley.

Also representing Plymouth at State

  • Dairy Evaluation: 3rd of 25 teams; members are Megan Limberg, Brady Bleck, Campbell Booth, Adam Bindl, and coaches Dr. Jeff Bleck and Dr. Chris Booth.
  • Vet Science: 4th of 25 teams; members are Lauren Conto, Julia Lodes, Kathryn Schwartz, Ava Bulin, and coach Dr. Lindley Reilly.
  • Agronomy: 19th of 38 teams; members are Zach Miller, Aidan Demunck, Hannah Hanke, Macie Abraham, and coach Chris Reichert.

All six teams advanced from regional competition held March 31 at Fox Valley Technical College to the State CDE Contest held Thursday April 27 in the Madison area. The national competition will be held during the National FFA Convention & Expo to be held Nov. 1-4 in Indianapolis.

Career Development Events allow participating FFA members in grades 7 to 12 to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork, and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.
