Community Ed & Rec offering wellness opportunities

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering its popular Understanding Medicare class as well as free Injury Screenings and a new Women’s Health 101 class this spring!

Injury Screening - NEW!

Spend 15-20 minutes with a Doctor of Physical Therapy to review pain, injury, or mobility concerns and discuss a plan of action. This screening does not include treatment, but it will provide general guidance and next steps.
Instructor: Thomas Graf PT, DPT of Trailhead Sports and Recovery 
Details: 5-7pm Thursday April 23 in the PHS Fitness Center
Fee: Free, but you must register for a 20-minute timeslot 
Details: 3-5pm Thursday May 21 in the PHS Fitness Center
Fee: Free, but you must register for a 20-minute timeslot 

Understanding Medicare

Learn more about the U.S. national health insurance program for senior citizens.
Instructor: Mary Kempf of Sheboygan County Aging and Disability Resource Center
Details: 5:30-8:30pm Wednesday April 29 in the PHS Library
Fee: Free, but register by April 20

Women’s Health 101 - NEW!

Join this informative and empowering class to explore reproductive health through the various life stages — from the reproductive years through menopause — covering common symptoms, changes, and how to confidently navigate each phase, along with practical guidance on fitness, nutrition, and sexual health. 
Instructor: Miki Eaton WHNP-BC, Certified Pelvic Health Clinician, Menopause Society Provider
Details: 6-7:30pm Thursday May 14 in the PHS Library
Fee: $5 (to be donated to Mental Health America); register by May 4

How do I register?

  • Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fee and offers immediate confirmation. You can pay online with a credit card to hold your spot, send a check by mail, or pay in person with cash, check, or credit card. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)
  • In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
  • By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
