PHS yearbook welcomes new advisor & social media

Posted October 20, 2025

Hard at work on Volume 110 of the Plymouth High School yearbook, the Quit Qui Oc staff is launching a Facebook Page and welcoming a new advisor.

Julia Kemmett, who joined the PHS English Department for the 2024-25 school year, has taken over from Sarah Maki, though Mrs. Maki has been helping with the transition.

“My goal is for yearbook students to build real-world skills — creative problem-solving, professionalism, and communication — through everything from designing pages to coordinating with local businesses and fundraising,” Mrs. Kemmett said. “Ultimately, they’re creating something lasting that reflects the school and will be looked back on for years to come.”

This year’s theme is a scrapbook-inspired “Picture This.” Editors Adella Gritt, Ally Pilling, and Jake Hackl encouraged all students to submit photos, from summer 2025 and all through the school year. Email photos to quitquioc@gc.plymouth.k12.wi.us.

“The yearbook is trying to represent all students,” Adella said. “That’s hard to do when only some people submit photos.”

The staff has set up a Facebook Page to solicit photos and encourage students to buy a yearbook.
