Students to talk about France, Spain, South Korea, & Switzerland

Foreign-exchange students attending local high schools once again will share information and food from their home countries with the public.

The final set of 2022-23 AFS Student Presentations will begin at 3:30 p.m. Sunday April 23 at Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive, Plymouth.

Presenters will be PHS students Elea Mehmetau from Switzerland, Ines Casade San Jose and & Mateo Planas from Spain, and Jihyun Na from South Korea, as well as Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah student Alice Rigaud from France.

About Plymouth AFS

PHS is hosting 10 AFS students this year, from Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, North Macedonia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, and Switzerland, and joining efforts with area high schools that also have AFS students. The Plymouth AFS chapter is one of the most active in the state, having hosted 147 students from 48 different countries in the past decade.

AFS recently recognized the PHS chapter with an Outstanding Participation in International Education Award and a Certificate of Appreciation for its dedication to AFS international student exchange.
