Looking back at PHS in 2016
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the graduation of the Plymouth High School Class of 2016. Here is a look back at its senior year!
Homecoming
Homecoming Week 2015 had a circus theme and featured:
- Boys’ volleyball tournament and girls’ powder puff football games
- Tug-of-war competition and lunchroom games throughout the week
- Dress-up days, including tie-dye, stripes, and red, white & blue
- Alumni Hall of Fame induction, Homecoming Court presentation, and pep rally Friday afternoon
- Parade through downtown Friday afternoon
- Football 51-0 victory over Campbellsport on Friday evening
- Homecoming Dance on Saturday
The arts
Performing opportunities included:
- Fall play “Nicholas Nickleby”
- One act “The Animals”
- Spring musical “Fiddler on the Roof” the school’s 50th musical
- Amph Rats present “A Blonde, a Wand, and a Donut: Yet Another Cinderella Story” and “Before the Glass Slipper”
- Jolly Pranksters comedy team
- Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, German Band,Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble
- Bel Canto, Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Show Choir, Concert Choir
- Solo & Ensemble music festivals

Other highlights
- The Food Science & Agriculture Center opened Sept. 1, 2015.
- Choir went to New York City; Band went to Walt Disney World; and students traveled to Ecuador and Germany.
- PHS hosted 13 exchange students from Argentina, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Jordan, Moldova, Spain, and Turkey during the year, plus a contingent from Colombia for a few weeks.
