Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a wide variety of group fitness classes, aquatic opportunities, and recreational options this autumn!

Group fitness classes

Fitness Launch + Fitness Center Open House

Join us for this FREE opportunity to sample fitness classes, try the latest Les Mills BodyPump release with new music & choreography, and meet class instructors. Bring a friend!

Balance & Functional Movement

Work through progressive exercises that strengthen the core, while also improving balance and flexibility. The last 15 minutes feature mat work on the floor.

Cycle & Core

Enjoy an endless variety of intervals of high cardio bouts on the bike and core strength exercises off the bike to improve strength and endurance.

Everyday Athlete

This all-levels class blends functional mobility work with strength-building exercises to help prepare your muscles and joints to move more efficiently and safely – in your workouts as well as in daily life.

Les Mills BodyPump™

BodyPump™ is a total-body strength workout that shapes all major muscle groups, increases core strength, improves bone health, and leaves you feeling strong and fit! The low-weight, high-repetition training of BodyPump™ is based on a formula called The Rep Effect™, which utilizes time under tension and fatigue to generate muscular adaptation. The fusion of science-backed moves, motivating instructors, and great music helps you achieve much more than you would on your own.

Les Mills BodyPump Heavy™

BodyPump Heavy™ is tempo-based weightlifting that switches on your metabolic engine to build lean muscle like nothing else. Drawing on traditional lifting techniques, each class challenges strength, builds lean muscle, and drives measurable performance gains. It’s simple to do, and the slow tempo with lots of recovery time allows for expert coaching, so you master form and technique. Driven by iconic music and group energy, it turns traditional weightlifting into a fun, social, and addictive experience.

SHiNE Dance Fitness

This dance fitness workout utilizes current hit music and choreography to help participants feel confident and strong. High-cardio exercise combines jazz, ballet, and hip hop moves with calisthenics in a HIIT format for a full-body workout. Come dance with us!

Total Body Training

Increase heart rate with low- to medium-impact intervals using weights, bosu balls, resistance bands, and stability balls, while strengthening the muscles of the core.

Intermediate Women's Weightlifting 

Take your strength training to the next level in this motivating, women-only class! Designed for women with basic weightlifting experience, this small-group class focuses on improving lifting technique, building confidence, and progressing safely with proper form. You'll develop total-body strength, boost metabolism, and support bone health – all while enjoying the encouragement and camaraderie of a supportive community. Whether your goal is to feel stronger, lift with confidence, or continue your fitness journey, this class will help you get there.

Experienced Women’s Weightlifting - NEW

Push your limits and discover what you're capable of in this high-energy class for experienced women lifters. This challenging full-body workout combines advanced strength training with cardio-focused exercises to build power, endurance, and athletic performance. Expect a variety of training methods, including free weights, bodyweight movements, and occasional outdoor workouts to keep every class fresh and engaging. If you're ready to train hard, challenge yourself, and continue making strength gains, this class is for you.

Vinyasa Yoga

This all-levels yoga class focuses on breath and movement. Challenge your body by toning muscle and building core strength through a sequence of poses. Some yoga experience is recommended, although modifications will be suggested.

Zumba

This high-energy, Latin-inspired dance fitness program blends fast and slow rhythms for a full-body cardiovascular workout.

Daytime Aqua 

This shallow-water class is excellent for flexibility, range of motion, and muscle toning.

Daytime Deep 

Held with Daytime Aqua; you can follow that workout, do your own, or swim laps.

Deep Water 

This motivational class uses water resistance for a great workout. You must be comfortable in deep water. You can use noodles or cuffs.

Water Walking

This self-paced, self-directed class in shallow water is perfect for those with limited mobility. Just walk at your own pace! Held at the same time as Deep Water, so help is nearby.

Aqua Fit & Fun - NEW

Get your heart pumping while having a splash of fun! This upbeat water workout combines easy-to-follow movements, cardio, and resistance exercises to help improve strength, endurance, and energy—all while moving to great music in the pool. Come ready to move, laugh, and have fun!

Adult Swim Lessons 

An adult instructor teaches adults who want to feel more comfortable in the pool, improve their swimming ability, and/or alleviate their fear of water.

Kayaking

This introductory class is for those new to this water sport. Open to those ages 10 & up, so families are welcome!

Track/Hall Walking 

Community members can walk the PHS hallways & indoor track during designated times.
Halls: 3-8pm Monday-Thursday & 3-6pm Fridays Sept 8-May 21
Track: 5:30-7am Monday-Friday and 3-5:30pm Mondays & Wednesdays Sept 9-Dec 23 (Additional times may be available when no groups are using the facility.)
NOTE: To walk the track you will need to check out an access badge from the Fitness Center worker and leave your ID/keys until you return the badge. 
Fee: Free, but enter Door 18 & sign in each time at the table located outside the Fitness Center

Community Fitness Center

The Fitness Center on the south end of PHS is open to community members! The facility features circuit-training machines, extensive free weights, and many types of cardio equipment. An adult staff member is available to answer questions about machine use.

Hours:

  • Weekdays: 5-7:30am & 3-7pm (3-4pm is student hour)
  • Saturday: 7-11am

Fees:

  • Individual district resident: $28/month, $149/half-year, $264/year
  • Couple (2 adults at same district address): $215/half-year, $375/ year
  • Senior*, Military, Veteran district resident: $22/month, $99/half-year, $171/year
  • Senior* couple district residents (at least one is age 62+): $139/half-year, $237/year
  • Young adult resident: (ages 18-22): $50/year
  • Non-resident: $39/month, $198/half-year, $348/year
  • Punch card: $50 for 10 visits
  • Daily rate: $5 cash at door

*Senior rate is available to Plymouth School District residents ages 62 and above.

How do I register?

  • Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.) You can pay online with a credit card, but please note that our processor charges a 3% fee; you can avoid the fee by selecting “Print a Pre-registration form” for your Checkout Method and then either mailing or bringing payment to our office. Your spot is not secured until we receive payment.
  • In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8am-4pm weekdays (closing at noon Fridays from June 12 through Aug. 21).
  • By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
