Middle-school students can join Youth Center
Area middle-school students can join the Plymouth Youth Center, which offers a safe, supervised place to go after school.
The Youth Center is open to all area students in grades 5-8, including public, parochial, and homeschooled students.
Interested students may participate in enrichment programing, including simple meals, relaxation, recreation, team building, and crafts. These activities are optional, and the Youth Center also is a safe place to just hang out with friends and play games including pool, air hockey, and foosball. Students also can work on homework or relax on their own.
Located next to Riverview Middle School at 609 North St., it is open after school until 5 p.m. on regular school days with at least one adult present at all times.
Memberships cost $69/year, $34/trimester, or $17/month. If financial assistance is needed, please contact Community Education & Recreation. Registration is handled via the MyRec online registration system. (Parents/guardians will need to create a MyRec account, if they do not already have one.)
Come see for yourself! The Youth Center will have an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 25, during Riverview Sneak Peek.
