Youth football begins soon

Registration is open for the local youth football program, which now is an official Plymouth School District activity.
The goal of the youth program is to build a strong foundation for future success at the high school level while providing a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for all athletes. Focus is on skill development, teamwork, and creating a love for the game.
Middle-School Tackle Football
PHS Football coaching staff will help participants develop skills in preparation for games against area middle-school teams. Culture and expectations are aligned with the high school program.
- Open to: students entering grades 6-8 (coaches will determine if students are ready to play up a grade)
- 7th-Grade Team: 7th-graders, and 6th-graders who are physically able and passed the skills test during youth camp
- 8th-Grade Team: 8th-graders, and 7th-graders who are physically able and have the necessary skills
- Details:
- Parent meeting/equipment pickup: 6pm Monday August 10
- Practices: 3-4:30pm Monday-Thursday beginning Tuesday August 11 at Riverview (detailed practice schedule)
- Games: 4:30pm mostly Tuesdays & Thursdays September 1-October 8 at area schools; transportation to away games is provided (detailed game schedule)
- Fee: $70 (includes use of equipment)

Note: All participants must have Page 4 of the Physical Evaluation Form / Evaluación Física Previa A La Participación on file signed by a doctor based on an examination conducted since April 1, 2025.
Plymouth Flag Football
PHS Football players will teach fundamentals and how to play the game safely, as well as skills for multiple positions.
- Open to: students entering grades 3-6
- Details: 8-10am Saturdays August 22-September 26 on the PHS turf field
- 8-8:45am: Warmup and practice
- 8:45-9:20am: Game 1
- 9:20-10am: Game 2
- Fee: $30
- Register: online via MyRec for Flag Football
