Community youth & family activities begin soon

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering a variety of activities for children and families this summer!
Friday Playgroup
For all ages! Join other parents and children this summer at this parent-supervised free play at Plymouth parks.
Details: 9:30-11am 1st & 3rd Fridays June 19-August 21 (except July 3)
-June 19: Junior-Stayer Park, 39 S Stafford St
-July 3: No Playgroup
-July 17: City Park, 203 Suhrke Road
-August 7: Lone Oak Park, 2245 Valley Road
-August 21: Meyer Park, 300 Daleview Drive with Habitat Hike (see below)
Fee: Free, but please pre-register by June 17 so we know to expect you.
Habitat Hike - Trees!
For all ages! We will learn to identify many common trees based on their unique features. Afterwards, we will look for the many different varieties of trees growing there while on a short hike. End with unstructured play at the playground. Held in conjunction with Friday Playgroup.
Instructors: Laura & Katie, Conservation Specialists with the Sheboygan County Planning & Conservation Department
Details: 9:30-11am Friday August 21 at Meyer Nature Park, 300 Daleview Drive
Fee: Free, but please pre-register by August 17 so we know to expect you.
Middle-School Speed Camp - NEW!
For those currently in grades 5-8. Led by a strength and conditioning specialist, athletes will break down the mechanics of athletic movement. In 4 weeks, athletes will master the foundational movement patterns required to dominate their sport, reduce risk of injury, and out-pace the competition.
Instructor: Josh of Reforge Fitness, CSCS USAW, CPT
Details: 12-12:45pm Tuesdays June 16-July 7 on the PHS outdoor track
Fee: $20 until June 9, then $30
Panther Tennis Drill – NEW!
For those who just completed grades 8-11. Students will work on singles & doubles skills and tactics.
Instructor: Jesse Frausto
Details: 6-7:30pm Wednesdays June 17-August 12 on the PHS Tennis Courts
Fee: $50 until June 10, then $60
How do I register?
- Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fee and offers immediate confirmation. You can pay online with a credit card to hold your spot, send a check by mail, or pay in person with cash, check, or credit card. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)
- In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays (though closing at noon Fridays June 12-Aug. 21).
- By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
