Registration open for summer athletic camps

Plymouth School District is offering many youth athletic camps this summer, including girls basketball, boys basketball, tennis, football, and volleyball!
Camps are open to all area students in the appropriate grades, including those who are homeschooled or attending parochial schools.
Registration is coordinated by Community Education & Recreation and handled online via MyRec, but all of the following except Tennis are operated by their respective PHS programs. Camps will be held at Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave.
Girls Basketball Camp
PHS coaches and players teach game fundamentals with drills and game play.
Who: Girls currently in grades 3-8
Dates: June 8-12
Times: 8-10am for grades 3-5; 10:15am-12:15pm for grades 6-8
Where: PHS gym
Fee: $45; those who register by May 11 get a T-shirt
Boys Basketball Camp
PHS coaches and players correct, teach, and help perfect the individual fundamentals of basketball. Camp consists of individual offensive and defensive techniques, as well as scrimmaging in small groups and competing in drills and contests.
Who: Boys currently in grades 2-8
Dates: Session 1 will be June 15-18; Session 2 will be June 22-25
Times: noon-1:30pm for grades 5-8; 1:45-3:15pm for grades 2-4
Where: PHS gym
Fee: $45 per session or both for $65; register by May 18 to get a T-shirt
Tennis Camp
Skill-building drills and coaching led by experienced players to help participants learn and advance their tennis game. Equipment is available to borrow during camp weeks.
Who: Students currently in grades 1-8
Dates: July 13-17 for grades 6-8; July 20-24 for grades 1-5
Times: 12:30-2:30pm
Where: PHS tennis courts
Fee: $45 until July 6, then $55
Football Camp
Participants will have fun learning the basics of football through skills and drills run by PHS varsity coaching staff, as well as playing games and interacting with current high school players.
Who: Students currently in grades 4-7
Dates: Monday July 13 through Wednesday July 15
Times: 12:30-3pm
Where: PHS facilities
Fee: $45; those who register by June 15 get a T-shirt
Volleyball Camp
Conducted by PHS coaches and local collegiate athletes
Who: Students currently in grades 2-7, plus girls currently in grades 8-11
When: July 14-16
Times: 12-1:30pm for grades 2-4; 1:45-3:45pm for grades 5-7; 4-6pm for grades 8-12
Where: PHS gym
Fee: $65; those who register by June 15 get a T-shirt
