About 86 percent of the Plymouth High School Class of 2024 graduated ready for careers and about 66 percent are ready for college, according to the most recent PHS Redefining Ready Report Card.
Redefining Ready is a national initiative launched by the School Superintendents Association to introduce research-based metrics to assess if students are college ready, career ready, and life ready. Participating schools evaluate each student on a given set of metrics, and then aggregate the results to get a picture of the class as a whole.
The PHS Redefining Ready Report Card, which debuted a year ago, focuses on 12 indicators, six of which address career readiness and six others gauging college readiness.
The original version covered the Classes of 2022 and 2023, and showed that 84-86 percent of each class was career ready and about 61-65 percent of the students were college ready.
A student who meets two or more of the following criteria is considered career ready:

• Industry Credentials: earned at least one credential, such as Microsoft or ProStart certification
• Extracurriculars: participated in at least 2 organized activities, from the more than 70 offered at PHS
