Plymouth School District students enjoyed many field trips this spring!
Elementary schools
- Nearly 300 4K and 3rd-grade students visited Fischer Valley Dairy on May 9 for a Food for America farm visit hosted by Plymouth FFA.
- Parkview fourth-graders visit PHS science labs for hands-on chemistry, physics, and biology activities on May 17.
- Fairview 4K visited Nourish Farms on May 23.
- Fairview first-graders went to Farm Wisconsin in Manitowoc on May 23, where they learned about farming in Wisconsin, visited a dairy farm, learned about cows, and completed an egg stem project!
- Parkview kindergartners took a trip to Hickory Lawn Dairy Farm in May, where they saw lots of cute calves, robots milking cows, and where the cows eat and relax.
- Horizon third-graders visited the Sheboygan County Museum where a former Horizon student, Nathan Chisolm, shared his expertise about the history of Sheboygan County.
- Horizon third-graders enjoyed a day of fun and learning during outdoor activities at Camp Y-Koda.
- Horizon third-graders visited American Family Field to learn about the history of the Milwaukee Brewers and get a "behind-the-scenes" look at all the parts of the stadium.
Riverview Middle School
- Riverview students traveled to St. Norbert College on April 17 to meet with two guest speakers about the future of NATO and its role in the military.
- Riverview students were among those at the art retreat April 25 hosted by the GT Consortium of CESA 7.
- Seventh-Graders visited the wildlife preserve at Bay Beach on April 17.
- Seventh-Grade Band performed May 8 at Bader Concert Hall on the campus of UW-Milwaukee.
- Riverview fifth-graders toured the PHS Auto Show & Career Fair on May 17 and engaged in a variety of hands-on projects in the Science & Technology Center.
- Eighth-Grade Band performed May 23 at the Beyond the Notes Music Festival at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
- Riverview fifth-graders explored the Milwaukee County Zoo in late May.
- Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Band performed the National Anthem before the May 30 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game.
Plymouth High School
- PHS student Elizabeth Bernard attended the virtual global youth summit put on by the DPI in April.
- PHS Companion Animal Class visited the Humane Society of Sheboygan County May 14, where they toured the facility, learned about the organization’s mission and the variety of services, witnessed a surgery, and delivered homemade treats.
- Five PHS seniors, chosen based on laude points and grade-point average, attended the Best of the Class event hosted by Fox 11 at Lambeau Field on May 29: Silas Dailey, Sophia Suchocki, Marco Troka, Pria Joseph, & Jaren Baltus (Owen Plate was not able to attend).
