Free meals available this summer for children

Posted May 28, 2024

Plymouth School District Food Service will be serving free breakfast and lunch this summer to any child 18 years of age and younger residing in the Plymouth/Cascade area.

Children do not need to be enrolled in Summer School or other summer programs in order to participate at either of the sites listed below. Meals must be eaten at the school, in compliance with USDA regulations.

However, Food Service also has the opportunity to send home meals for weekends. Beginning June 20 and continuing through July 25, students will be able to take home a box of 3 meals each Thursday. Meals will be packaged with bus students in mind, with perishable foods in a marked bag (which should be refrigerated as soon as possible, within one hour).

Those not attending Summer School should visit Riverview between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Thursday to pick up weekend meals. Friday morning pickup also is available; complete the Summer Weekend Meal Pickup form. Children must accompany any adult picking up meals; contact Food Service if you need to make other arrangements.
