Incoming 4K families asked to enroll by May 1

Posted April 22, 2024

The Plymouth School District encourages families of students who will begin 4-year-old kindergarten in the fall to enroll them now, as staffing levels are being set for the 2024-25 school year.

Every effort will be made to provide placement information (i.e. school location and morning or afternoon class) by June 1 to families who have enrolled by May 1. However, 4K enrollments will be accepted throughout the summer.

Children who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for 4K, which features play-based learning in a classroom setting four half-days a week. The nurturing environment is designed to foster independence, encourage creativity, provide for social growth, and promote new learning.

Classes meet Monday through Thursday at Fairview, Horizon, and Parkview elementary schools, with morning 4K from 8:45 a.m. to noon and afternoon 4K from 12:30 to 3:45 p.m.

Onsite child care is offered by Berry Branch, operated by Community Education & Recreation, which is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays outside of the 4K schedule, as well as all day on Fridays, no-school days, and summer break.

To enroll a child in 4K

Families new to the district should begin by requesting enrollment access.
Families that already have a Skyward Family Access account with the Plymouth School District (i.e. for an older child) should log into Skyward Family Access and select "New Student Enrollment."
