Winter field trips extend student learning

Posted April 15, 2024

Plymouth School District students enjoyed many field trips this winter!

Plymouth High School

Student leaders from Team Panther, GSA, WeACT, and Peers for Peers attended the We are Many - United Against Hate conference in McFarland on March 13. Participants engaged in many powerful conversations and activities to collaboratively combat hate in our society today, took part in a gallery walk to understand hate crimes in Wisconsin, listened to many speakers, and watched an impactful documentary to truly understand what is happening in our society.
Foreign-language students, Global Scholars and exchange students attended World Cinema Day on April 5. Participants watched the film “Totem,” which is about an immigrant girl who connects with her Senegalese roots and discovers herself when her family gets arrested. Students also had a chance to shop and eat at restaurants on State Street in Madison.

Riverview Middle School

Fifth-graders visited Discovery World in Milwaukee.
Sixth-graders in good academic standing who have demonstrated positive behaviors got to visit Urban Air in January as an incentive field trip.
Eighth-graders participated in a career exploration fieldtrip at Lakeshore Technical College on Feb 13.

Elementary schools

Plymouth 3K and Berry Branch participants visited Fond du Lac Children's Museum on Feb. 7, after studying orchestra instruments.
District third-graders went to see the Sheboygan Symphony on March 12 at the Weill Center in Sheboygan.

A big thank-you to our families, parent organizations, and other donors who help make these outings possible!
