2023-24 Plymouth High School Momentum Show Choir

Momentum show choir collects awards

Posted February 19, 2024

Momentum, the Plymouth High School show choir, brought home numerous awards this season!

Mt. Zion Midwest Invitational on Jan. 20
Momentum’s first out-of-state competition!
• Second place in Tier II mixed division
• Best Visuals in Tier II Mixed Division

La Crosse Logan Showcase on Feb. 10
• Best Soloist Within a Show: Pria Joseph (winning that award for the third year in a row, having received it in 2023 at Milton's Rock the Rock and in 2022 at the Logan Showcase)

Momentum also competed at the Holmen Gathering of the Stars Show Choir Competition on Jan. 6 and Destination De Pere Let’s Jam on Feb. 3. The home audience had a chance to see the show choir perform Feb. 16 when it opened for the Wisconsin Singers.

“Overall, this season was a resounding success,” said director Carter Krzyzaniak. “The program has the most members it has ever had, and our fundraiser with the Wisconsin Singers is set to be our most successful night of that event as well.”

Of the 44 members in Momentum, 18 are in show choir for the first time, Mr. Krzyzaniak noted. “So the great results from the season stand as a testament to just how hard the performers work and how much they invest into their performance.”

Mark your calendar: The final performance by this year’s show choir will be May 17 during PHS Cabaret.
