PHS students headed to HOSA state competition

Congratulations to the 15 members of the Plymouth High School chapter of HOSA who have qualified for state competition!

The following are eligible to compete at the Wisconsin HOSA State Leadership Conference set for April 14-16 in the Wisconsin Dells:

Ryan Koll: Health Informatics

Ashley Miller: Creative Problem Solving
Jillian Straub: Cultural Diversity and Disparities in Healthcare
Sophia Suchocki: Medical Law and Ethics
Joshua Thiry: Medical Law and Ethics
Grant Thome: Sports Medicine
McKenzie Trakel: Medical Assisting
Marco Troka: Pathophysiology
Jillian Weber: Creative Problem Solving
The team of Regan Schwartz & Donna Tolman are alternates in Community Awareness.

Regionals were held virtually in January. Depending on the event, some students took a content knowledge test during the week of Jan. 8-12, some gave a virtual presentation Jan. 13, and others did both.

HOSA strives to empower future health professionals to become leaders in the global community through education, collaboration, and experience. The PHS chapter is advised by PHS science teacher Carrie Pieper.
