Kudos: Riverview Spelling Bee

Congratulations to sixth-grader Ari Griffin, who won the recent Riverview Middle School Spelling Bee!

Leading up to the school bee, Riverview teachers in grades 5-8 conducted classroom bees to select one representative per language arts class. These 24 students then participated in the school-wide spelling bee, which featured challenging words to spell as well as vocabulary rounds in which students had to correctly identify the definitions of words provided.

As the Riverview winner, Ari advances to the Sheboygan County Regional Spelling Bee set for Feb. 1 at Acuity Insurance. The Badger State Spelling Bee will be held March 16 in Madison, and the Scripps National Spelling Bee will be in May.
