Riverview Intramurals begin soon

Posted September 5, 2023

Students in grades 5 and 6 are encouraged to participate in the free Riverview Intramurals program, which begins its fall session Monday Sept. 18.

Participation is open to area fifth- and sixth-graders at all skill levels, including those who are homeschooled or attending parochial schools.

Riverview Intramurals is directed by Riverview physical education teacher Gina Krueger, who offers a variety of physical activities to accommodate different levels of skill and interests. The goal of the program is to allow students to enjoy physical activities without the pressure to compete and win.

Intramurals will meet from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. select days from Sept. 18 to Oct. 26 in the gym at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle (view a detailed schedule). All participants must have a pre-arranged ride home and be picked up at 3:30 p.m.

Space is limited, so parents/guardians are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Participants must be registered by Friday Sept. 15 using the MyRec online registration system. (Parents/guardians will need to create a MyRec account, if they do not already have one.) Parents/guardians also must complete the online Riverview Intramurals Parent Pick Up Information form.
