Last chance to register for Plymouth 3K

Plymouth School District childcare still is accepting students for its 3-year-old kindergarten, but space is limited so families are urged to register as soon as possible.

Plymouth 3K, operated by Community Education & Recreation, features:

• DPI-certified teacher Shaunna Renzelmann, who holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lakeland University and has taught 3K and 4K for years.
• Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum, which aligns with the district 4K curriculum and develops phonemic awareness skills, letter and sound recognition, and language awareness.
• Age-appropriate social and emotional development.
• Fun and play-based learning opportunities.

Students must be potty-trained and at least 3 years old as of Sept. 1. Parents can choose either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday classes, which will meet from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Horizon Elementary School, 411 S. Highland Ave.

Classes begin the week of Sept. 11 and run through the week of May 20, with no classes during the weeks of Nov. 20, Dec. 25, Jan. 1, and March 20.

The fee is $900 for the year, with a minimum of $600 due at registration and the balance by Nov. 1.
