Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering new classes in sourdough bread, cheese-making, and fermented beverages this autumn!
Sourdough Bread Baking 101 - NEW!
Learn the skills of baking sourdough bread in this hands-on class. You will be guided through a beginner- friendly recipe covering the basics of a true sourdough starter through mixing, proofing, and shaping and scoring techniques. You will leave with bread dough in progress and a sourdough starter.

Holiday Cheese Making - NEW!
Discover the joy of crafting your own artisanal cheeses just in time for the holidays! This class will guide participants through the process of making simple yet sophisticated fresh cheeses that are perfect for entertaining or gifting. We will delve into the ingredients, techniques, and nuances of cheese-making, ensuring that everyone leaves with the knowledge and confidence to create delightful dairy creations. Includes samples, recipes, and cheese to take home.

Fermentation: Delicious Natural Bubbling Beverages - NEW!
Explore the wonderful world of fermented beverages! Participants will learn how to create a variety of delicious and healthy bubbling drinks, water kefir, and lacto-fermented sodas. Learn the basic principles of fermentation, necessary equipment, and tips for flavoring and troubleshooting. This hands-on class will empower attendees to make their own fermented beverages confidently at home. Includes samples, recipes, and beverages to take home.

How do I register?
- Online: If possible, please register online via MyRec, which carries no service fee and offers immediate confirmation. (You first will need to create a MyRec account, if you have not already done so; once we verify residency and approve the account, you can register for any of our offerings going forward.)
- In person: You can register in our office, where we will help set up your MyRec account and can accept cash, check, and credit cards. Park in the visitor lot in front of Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave., and enter Door 18 on the south end of the building. Our office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
- By mail: While MyRec registration is preferred, you still can print a registration form to mail with a check to Community Ed & Rec, 125 S. Highland Ave., Plymouth WI 53073.
