Intramurals for grades 5-6 begin soon

Posted October 21, 2024

Students are encouraged to enjoy a variety of physical activities by participating in the next session of Middle-School Intramurals!

Intramurals, coordinated by Riverview physical education teacher Gina Krueger, are open to all area students in grades 5 and 6, including those who are homeschooled or attending parochial schools.

The focus is on the enjoyment of physical activities, rather than the pressure to compete and win, as in competitive athletics. Participants can enjoy the benefits of movement, develop positive attitudes, increase self-esteem and positive social interactions, and broaden their skill, fitness, and leisure choices.

The next session of Intramurals will meet from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. select days from Nov. 6 to Dec. 18 in the Riverview Gym. There is no fee, but participants must be registered via MyRec by Tuesday Nov. 5.
