The State Degree honors individuals who have excelled in FFA and is the highest degree a state can bestow upon members.
Five members of Plymouth FFA recently received the Wisconsin State Degree:
Career and Leadership Development Events challenge FFA members in grades 7 to 12 to develop critical-thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork, and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.
Four Plymouth teams competed in State Career Development Events on April 25 at UW-Madison:
All four teams advanced from the regional CDE contest held March 22 at Fox Valley Technical College.

FFA proficiency applications focus on a member’s supervised agricultural experiences and the knowledge and skills that learned from these experiences.
The following Plymouth FFA members competed at the state level:
During the Prepared Public Speaking Leadership Development Event, students write and deliver a six to eight-minute speech about a current agriculture-related topic. Students research a topic of interest and then put together a creative, informative speech.
Plymouth FFA members Megan Limberg and Austin Lau took first and second, respectively, at the District Speaking Contest on Feb. 8. They advanced to sectional competition, held March 7 in Random Lake, where Megan took third overall.
