The Plymouth School District offers a number of exciting options to keep students learning, exploring, and moving during the summer months!
The Plymouth School District will offer dozens of classes – at no charge to families! – for district students who will be entering grades K-8 in the fall. Most are designed to allow students to explore topics of interest to them.
New this year, Kindergarten Readiness (for students entering kindergarten) and K-1 Transition (for students entering first grade) will be split into two 2-week sessions: June 17-27 and July 8-18; students can attend only one session to allow more children the chance to participate.
Classes will meet from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday at Parkview Elementary School, 500 Parkview Drive.
Summer School for students entering grades 2-8 will run from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday from June 17 to July 18 (no classes Thursday July 4) at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Circle.
New this year, the final segment of the day (11-11:45 a.m.) will be Exploratory Learning/Nutrition time for all students. Half of the students can eat a free lunch and receive nutrition education in the cafeteria, while the other half enjoys a variety of games and crafts. Then the two groups will switch activities.
• The 2024 course guide will be available Thursday April 4 on the Plymouth Summer School webpage. Registration will be open from Friday April 12 through Thursday May 23.
Community Education & Recreation again will offer Squiggles & Wiggles Preschool for potty-trained children ages 3 and 4 (must be 3 by June 1).
