Organizers line up cereal boxes in gym

Schools collect cereal boxes for food pantry

Posted March 4, 2024

Plymouth-area schools collected 475 cereal boxes in February, which they donated to the Plymouth Food Pantry – after toppling them like dominoes in the Plymouth High School gym!

For this 2nd annual Plymouth School District Cereal Box Domino Challenge, donations from the five public schools were combined with those from St. John the Baptist School, St. John Lutheran School, and community members.

St. John the Baptist, the school with the highest percentage of donations relative to its student population, won a traveling trophy. The challenge was part of the Do Good Wisconsin statewide contest, which will give awards for most boxes collected as well as most unique video.

The Plymouth effort, spearheaded by the PHS National Honor Society and the district Pegasus gifted & talented program, was organized by Roy Schwab, district gifted & talented coordinator and district health & wellness coordinator.
