School Breakfast Week set for March 4-8

Posted February 26, 2024

Plymouth School District Food Service will celebrate National School Breakfast Week from March 4 to 8 with Hawaiian-themed food and decorations as well as a competition between schools.

“Eating breakfast is important to helping students achieve academic success,” said Food Service Director Caren Johnson. “School breakfast programs play a vital role in ensuring that all students have access to a nutritious breakfast to start the day.”

This year’s observance has a “Surf’s Up” theme. The school that “rides the wave to success” and has the highest participation will win frozen yogurt treats and the chance to pick five favorite breakfast items to be on the April menu. There also will be themed activities and prizes given out throughout the week.

Reminder: Breakfast is free to all students all school year!
