PHS earns 7 medals at ECC Academic Bowl

Congratulations to Plymouth High School, which collected seven medals at the 2024 East Central Conference Academic Bowl on Feb. 19!

Panthers earning individual medals:

• Erynn Kletzien: 1st place in Physics
• Marco Troka: 1st place in Biology
• Max Backhause: 2nd place in Algebra 2
• Mattea Abhold: 2nd place in Geometry
• Oliver Boxrucker: 3rd place in U.S. Government
• Brennan Nickel: 3rd place in Short Stories & Poetry
• Emily Chen: 3rd place in British Literature & Shakespeare

The eight ECC schools participate in the annual competition, which began in 2014-15 when WIAA conferences were restructured. Each 20-member team is challenged in the topics of science, English, math, social studies, and current events, via a written test and a group question-and-answer round.
