Area middle-school girls are invited to join the Riverview Middle School Girls Basketball team!

The team, coached by Riverview teachers Keely Mey and Brad Mey, represents Riverview in competitions with area schools. This opportunity is open to all area girls in grades 7 and 8, including those who are homeschooled or attending parochial schools, with registration handled by Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation.

An informational meeting for players and/or parents/guardians will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 19 in the Riverview Gym, 300 Riverside Circle.

Participants must be registered via the MyRec registration system by Tuesday Jan. 2. (Parents/guardians will need to create a MyRec account, if they do not already have one.) In addition, all participants must have a Physical Evaluation Form on file that was signed by a doctor after March 31, 2022. Fee is $20.

Practices will be held after school, beginning Wednesday Jan. 3, in the Riverview Gym. The season consists of 10 games between Jan. 11 and Feb. 15.
