Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation is offering workshops this fall to guide you in making herbal gifts and your own soap!
The following classes will meet at Plymouth High School, 125 S. Highland Ave.
Learn about herbs & make 10+ gifts to give away or keep to pamper yourself! Items include body spray, herbal infusion blends, lip balm and healing salve, herbal-infused honey, herbal-infused vinegar, herbal-infused oils, cedar wands, and much more.
Instructor: Linda of Moonwise Herbs
Details: 6-9pm Thursday Dec. 7 in PHS Room C105
Fee: $65 until Nov. 26, then $75

This comprehensive soap-making class will offer a foundation for making soap with the best ingredients from the field, forest, and farm. Learn myriad ways to add herbs to soap, as well as how to make a creamy, moisturizing farm-fresh bar of goat milk soap. Class will cover the qualities of the herbs we can add for their healing and moisturizing qualities, plus 3 approaches to soap making: hot process, cold process, and hand milling. In addition to making soap, participants will learn to felt soap as well as add loofah sponges for exfoliation as well as additional nourishing skin qualities. Participants will leave with many bars of soap to cure at home, a recipe guide, and skills for a lifetime of soap making.
