Meet the Plymouth Board of Education

Posted October 2, 2023

We are taking this opportunity during Wisconsin School Board Week (Oct. 1-7) to introduce and recognize members of the Plymouth Board of Education. We thank them for their leadership and guidance!

Bob Travis

President
In 2009, Bob became a member of the Plymouth School District’s Board of Education and in 2021, Bob became Board President. Bob has been a member of the Plymouth community for 24 years. At his wife Luann’s urging, they came to the Plymouth community with their 3 children, Maria, Jack, and Anna, specifically for the school system and the community support behind it. It was a great decision and all three of their children graduated from Plymouth High School. Bob and Luann are high school sweet-hearts and have been married for 36 years.
Education: Bob was born in Nebraska, graduated High School from South in Sheboygan and earned a Bachelor of Business and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Career path: In addition to his role on the school board, Bob is an entrepreneur and business owner, starting his company, InkWorks Printing in Plymouth in 2009.
Interests: Bob also enjoys Cross-Fit, Acting with the Youth Theater Company and the occasional long-distance run. But if the breeze is up and the waves are fair, it is likely you will find Bob sailing his little yellow Cat Boat – Buttercup.
