The recently resurfaced track at Plymouth High School is open for public use

Community welcome to use PHS outdoor track

Posted July 31, 2023

Community members are invited to walk, jog, or run on the new outdoor track at Plymouth High School!

The track generally is open to the public during daytime hours, except when events are happening at Finke Field.

There is no fee, but those using the track are asked to help protect the investment by observing the following rules:

  • No gum, food, or drinks other than water
  • No dogs or other pets
  • No metal cleats
  • No wheels
  • No vehicles
  • No glass containers
  • No smoking or open flames
  • No golfing

The track was last resurfaced in 2005 and had been deteriorating rapidly, so PHS budgeted funds to update the surface and address drainage issues for the track and the football field it surrounds. Meanwhile, local businesses committed more than $700,000 in exchange for advertising to upgrade the field surface to turf.
