Volunteers

The Plymouth Education Foundation simply could not reach its goals each year without a broad base of support from our volunteers.

Volunteers serve on a variety of committees throughout the year led by one of the Foundation’s board members. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please acquaint yourself with our events/programs/services and contact the Foundation with your area of interest. Please refer to the Volunteer Interest Form for more information.

How You Can Help

The Foundation needs community wide support from residents, organizations, and area businesses to enhance the educational experience of students in the Plymouth School District, both for today and into the future.

There are many ways you can help! Learn more about donations.

Become an annual sponsor: Our private and corporate sponsors make a pledge to support the Foundation at the beginning of the school year and are then eligible for Foundation Sponsor benefits. We encourage our annual sponsors to return the Annual Pledge form by December 1 in order to be fully recognized during our events throughout the school year (and to assist us in our giving plans); however, we are more than happy to work with you after that date as well.

Make a general donation: Donations of any denomination are appreciated at any time during the year. Simply fill out a Pledge Form and send it back to the Foundation. Please include a note if you would like your donation to be applied to a specific campaign (i.e. Scholarship), honorarium (e.g. in honor of a staff retirement or a class gift), or memorial fund (e.g. in memory of someone who has passed away).

Support the future of Plymouth with a gift/honorarium to the Foundation's endowment: The Foundation's endowment allows you and/or someone you would like to honor to become part of the Legacy of the PEF.

Double the impact of your gift by submitting a matching gift form from your employer: Most companies are willing to match employee gifts to non-profits. That allows us to double the impact of your gift. In most cases, all it takes is getting a form to send in with your donation. In some cases, the non-profit has to be qualified before your gift is eligible for matching. Please check with your place of business to see if they have a gift matching program.

Donate items to Foundation events: We will be holding events during the year. Our events provide a wonderful opportunity for community awareness for area businesses and organizations. Titled and supporting event sponsorship opportunities are available. Raffle/Silent Auction donations to these events are also greatly appreciated. Please contact the Foundation for more information.

Attend Foundation events: Please register to attend our events so that we can get to know those who support the work we do for our schools.

Donate your time: The Foundation's programs and events are dependent on the time and energy of committed community volunteers. Please refer to the Volunteer Page on this site for more information on how to get involved.

Consider the Foundation in your tax and estate planning: The Plymouth Education Foundation is able to receive stock transfers and/or can act as a beneficiary as part of your estate planning. Please also refer to the Plymouth Education Foundation's Planned Giving Opportunities. Please let us know if you have named the Plymouth Education Foundation as a bequest in your estate planning so that we can recognize you in our Legacy Circle of Friends.

The Plymouth Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
