Middle-school students invited to play sports

Area students can register now to be part of the 2025-26 Riverview Middle School athletic teams!

These opportunities, coordinated by Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation, are open to all area middle-school students, including those who are homeschooled or attending parochial schools.

These are interscholastic programs (except Golf), where Riverview teams travel to compete with area middle schools.

  • Volleyball: for girls in grades 7-8, offered September-October*
  • Boys Basketball: for boys in grades 7-8, offered November-December

Registration

Students must be registered before they can participate, via the MyRec registration system. (Parents/guardians will need to create a MyRec account, if they do not already have one.) In addition, all participants must have Page 4 of the Physical Evaluation Form on file, signed by a doctor based on an examination conducted since April 1, 2024. Fee is $30 per sport (plus a $50 greens fee for Golf).

*Families are encouraged to register as soon as possible, especially for Cross Country and Volleyball, which begin practices right away. In addition, some teams have limited spots available.

Attention grades 5 and 6: Riverview also offers Intramural Sports & Activities, which provides a variety of physical activities for students of all skill level without the pressure to compete and win. The first session will begin soon after school starts; register via MyRec after Aug. 27.
