Time to register for school-year childcare

Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation offers childcare for elementary school students before and after school.

Two age-appropriate programs are available at the elementary schools:

• Berry Branch: For children in 4K or 5K. Care is available outside the school day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Extra Mile: For children in grades 1-4. Care is available from 6 a.m. until the start of school at 8:45 a.m. and from the end of school at 3:45 p.m. until 6 p.m.

There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $75/child, which helps offset costs so families are not charged for days missed because of illness, vacation, etc. Fees are $5 per hour for Extra Mile and $5.50 per hour at Berry Branch.

How do I register?

Existing childcare members:  Log into MyRec, visit the Child Care section , choose Fall/School Year ONLY Childcare Registration, and register each child for 2025-26 Child Care in Berry Branch or Extra Mile, as appropriate.

New childcare families:
1. Visit the Child Care section of MyRec and follow the steps below:
2. Log into MyRec; if you do not have a MyRec account, create an account for your household and add your children as members.
3. Register each child for 2025-26 Child Care in Berry Branch or Extra Mile, as appropriate.
4. Sign up for a Berry Branch or Extra Mile membership when prompted; this generates the scan code you will need going forward.
