Plymouth School District offering 3K program
Posted July 21, 2025
Area children are invited to get their first taste of school in the Plymouth School District 3-year-old kindergarten program, which meets two mornings a week throughout the school year!
Plymouth 3K, coordinated by Community Education & Recreation since January 2022, features:
- Language activities that align with the district 4K curriculum.
- Age-appropriate social and emotional development.
- Fun and play-based learning opportunities.
- Optional on-site child care available before and after class.
Classes are taught by Shaunna Renzelmann, a DPI-licensed teacher who holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lakeland University and has taught 3K and 4K for years.
Students must be potty-trained and at least 3 years old as of Sept. 1. Parents can choose either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday classes, which will meet from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Horizon Elementary School, 411 S. Highland Ave. Classes will begin Sept. 8/9 and end May 20/21, with no classes during the weeks of Nov. 24, Dec. 22, Dec. 29, and March 30.
Register online via via MyRec as soon as possible because seats are limited. You will need to create a MyRec account (if you don’t already have one) and add your child before you can register. The fee is $1,160 for the entire year, with a minimum of $640 due at registration, $320 by Aug. 1, and the balance by Nov. 1.
Child care is available with the onsite Mulberry Bush program before and/or after class, as early as 6:30 a.m. and as late as 5:30 p.m. Fees are $210/week, $62/day, or $31/half-day.
