PHS student named FFA State Winner

Posted June 23, 2025

Congratulations to Plymouth High School student Aidan DeMunck, named Wisconsin FFA State Winner in the Diversified Horticulture Proficiency area!

The award was announced at the 96th State FFA Convention held recently in Madison. Aidan’s application now advances to the National FFA level; if selected as one of four finalists, he will compete at the National FFA Convention in November.

Participants in the Diversified Horticulture category own or work for an enterprise that applies the best management practices available to efficiently produce and market plants/arrangements. Aidan, who will be a senior at Plymouth High School this fall, has worked at Millhome Nursery & Greenhouses since March 2023.

In that role, he helps with plant propagation, maintenance, sales, and landscaping projects. Additionally, Aidan completes basic plant care such as daily watering, fertilizing, and deadheading. He also handles season-specific tasks such as wreath-making, propagating vines, and growing poinsettias.

“His continued experience with plants allows him to better serve the customers of the store and answer any questions that they have,” according to a press release from Wisconsin FFA.
