Schools welcome guests this spring

Many community members and others shared their time and expertise with Plymouth School District students this spring!

Plymouth High School

  • Dr. Evan Chacellor, Director of Bands at Lakeland Univeristy, worked with the PHS Symphonic Band on April 10.
  • Dr. Lindley Reilly from Cedar Grove Veterinary Services visited the PHS Vet Science class.
  • Doug Williamson of MilliporeSigma visited Advanced Chemistry students May 2 to talk about the chemistry industry and to lead a hands-on activity with the chemistry of boba tea.
  • Chris and Ruth Shepard, owners of Caan's Gardens & Gifts and Smarty Pants Preschool, spoke in their daughter Neea’s Composition & Cultural Analysis class about their careers and what they have learned over the years.
  • A therapy dog visited PHS students May 21.
  • Pria Josephs, a PHS graduate attending the UW-Madison School of Business, spoke to Accelerated Math classes about careers in actuarial science.

Elementary schools

  • Plymouth FFA members brought Ag in the Classroom activities to Plymouth first-graders in April, and to third-graders in May.
  • Samantha Aschenbach, Plymouth Public Library children's librarian, visited Plymouth elementary schools to talk about the summer reading program.
  • Janis from Bullard’s Dentist visited Parkview 5K.
